Though, Scott knew that she was still expected to work hard. She had to produce the same quality for which the major publishing houses were known by hiring professional proofreaders, designers, and editors.

She did not regret the time, effort, and resources she injected into her career. Scott did not attain success overnight. Rather, she made slow and steady progress. The author knew she was on the right track when she started attracting new followers on social media in 2012.

The development told her that people liked her books and they wanted more. The comments published on her social media accounts proved her theory. Most of them were penned by readers that wanted Scott to know how deeply her books had touched them.

In 2013, Scott finally made it to the New York Times bestseller list. At the time, she was looking through the list in the hopes of finding the names of her friends. When she saw her name on the list instead, she screamed.
