Kerrigan Byrne is an American author that writes historical, paranormal, and romantic suspense. Byrne studied English and History in college. But for various reasons, she never got her degree. The author cannot pinpoint a particular moment that sparked her interest in writing.

Modern societies are fighting to accommodate anxious workers in the wake of the digital revolution. In the past, the industrial revolution produced similar upheaval. Urban centers had to adjust to the social and economic shifts that followed.

For Byrne, there is no better setting for romance. She is not afraid to tackle complex subjects like trauma, mental health, and sexism. The author relies on properties like Game of Thrones and Mass Effect 3 to provide immersive soundtracks that can create the atmosphere she needs to tell her stories.

Byrne does quite a bit of research. Because she has a poor memory, the author tends to perform duplicate research. She gets most of her research material from the local bookshops. Where possible, she will consult history experts.
