Fiona McIntosh is an Australian author that writes fantasy, YA, and mysteries. Though, she is best known in some circles for her historical fiction. Born in 1960 in Brighton, England, Fiona took several trips to Africa during her childhood because of her father’s work.

During the final year of her teens, she spent some time in Paris before moving to Australia, where she planted her roots. Fiona worked in PR, sales, and marketing for several years before she got her big publishing break, writing a story that piqued the interest of a global publisher.

Her books require extensive research, especially the historical novels. While she has several eras that interest her, the period between 1910 and 1945 is her favorite because of the era’s scope and dramatic potential.
