A New York bestselling artist best known for the Cat in Trouble series, Leann Sweeney was born in Niagara Falls. She attended school at St. Joseph’s Hospital and later on, she joined Lemoyne College located in Syracuse NY. Sweeney earned a degree in behavioral science from the University of Houston. After completing her University degree Leann Sweeney served as a psychiatry. Currently Leann is working as a school nurse. About fifteen years ago, Sweeney began writing, thereby fulfilling her lifelong dream. After successfully perfecting her writing skills by attending classes, Sweeney joined Sisters in Crime and MWA. Leann Sweeny’s short works of fiction have won numerous awards while several of her mysteries were published in a number of small market mystery magazines. Leann is married and has two fabulously grown up children. For more than thirteen years, Leann Sweeney has lived in Texas, and currently she still resides there, with her three cats and husband, Mike.

Leann Sweeney is best known for the Cats in Trouble mystery series. The best performing books in this series are the Cat, the Sneak and the Collector and, the recently released the Cat, the Collector and the Killer. The first installment, the Cat, the Sneak and the Collector kicks off with a mystery from the very first page, and from there on, the mystery and the intrigue kept growing on. This book is an exceedingly fun ride. A mischievous kitten, murder and the wedding plans will undoubtedly have you deeply absorbed into the book; thereby you may end up losing track of time. You will love reading about the lead character, Jillian Hart, her husband to be, Tom and the other noticeable characters. If you are an ardent fan of cats or mystery series, then you are definitely going to love this book.

Just like the first book, the second installment in this series is also equally captivating. In this installment, we reunite with the newlyweds Tom and Jillian who are more than determined to ensure that they rescue their longtime friend and shelter manager. Their longtime friend, Sean serves as shelter manager and is currently entangled in a difference of opinion with the town’s animal control officer. It does not long before a call comes through there is a woman who is walking in Mercy’s street with a tole bag that she uses to transport her kitten. The woman is easily identified and a visit to her home reveals that the place looks like a warehouse and multitude of cats. Upon conducting further investigation, a dead body is discovered inside one of the bedrooms. Jillian immediately calls her husband to inform him on the findings, and immediately her husband dispatches two officers to the venue.

Another book that performed extremely well in the Cat in Trouble mystery series is the Cat, the Lady and Liar. This is the third book in this mystery series. In this installment, like the Jillian, the cat Quilter tracks down the owner of the stray cat, the trace leads her to the affluent and quirky, Ritaestelle Longworth. The town is talking and may people are questioning the Longworth’s sanity. Before Jillian can get into the bottom of the matter, a body is discovered right behind her house. Her cat discovers that Ritaestelle is standing nearby. Are the three wise cats going to assist Jillian in solving this mystery? Jillian understands that she will have to prick her ears so that she can be able to find the person who committed the act. When it comes to animals, Jillian is a little bit soft hearted. Thus, when one of her friends asks for her help in taking care of Isis Jillian does not say no. Isis had been saved from certain death after she was found lying down in an extremely busy raod.

The bad thing is that Isis does not get extremely well with other cats. Unknown to Jillian, she is going to be dragged into the hidden feelings and the dirt of the Longworth’s family. She is alsso going to have to deal with murder and also be able to keep Ritaestelle out of trouble. She has to prove that Ritaestelle is not only sane but she is also not involved in the murders.
