The lead in the series is Jon Hudson, who works at the Fusion Center-P of the Department of Homeland Security as a lead investigator. Hudson is in charge of a division that handles a recent entrant into the national security radar – paranormal threats. While other division have been active in dealing with terrorist activity, paranormal activity has been pretty much subdued for much of the year.Jon Hudson, top investigative officer for the Department of Homeland Security’s most important facility the Fusion Center, believe his job is a joke.
While several other Fusion Centers concentrate on frustrating terrorist activity, Hudson’s detachment is charged with handling supernatural threats to the United State security, of which none have been reported ever since he started working at the department years past. When another Bigfoot sighting indicates that a Maine research facility may be home to the paranormal creatures, Hudson’s job becomes deadly serious. The facility not only is long abandoned but is thought to be contaminated with nuclear waste.
In the first novel of the series “Project Nemesis “Ashley Collins and Hudson are running from an ex Special Forces security team when they encounter some paranormal threat. The creature that destroys their facility leaves behind a name scribbled in blood – Nemesis. Hudson and the team at the Fusion Center P are on a quest to track down the mysterious creature and are following a series of clues that soon leads them to the murder of Maigo a young child. But with the numbers of the dead rising daily, it soon becomes evident that Nemesis may only be slowed down by a strategic military response.
What follows is a quest to coordinate with every branch of the American military as Hudson goes about searching for clues on the motivations and origins of Nemesis. As the leader of the team charged with stopping Nemesis, he hopes to stop the monster, before it can cause harm to the million residents of Boston. It is an intriguing narrative of the paranormal that shows why Jeremy Robinson has managed to become one of the most popular paranormal fiction authors today.
